Leasing Agent

Garden Communities has an opportunity for a full time Leasing Professional available at an Apartment Complex located in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Leasing staff is responsible for leasing apartments, serves as an initial contact between the public and the company, and strives to project and demonstrate the value and quality of our product and service.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Greets prospective residents and presents property through personal tours. Gathers information regarding prospective resident’s needs and details on a guest card; qualifies the prospective resident through conversation to ensure that standard criteria are met and we are finding the perfect home for our customers; conducts follow-up daily.
• Delivers superior customer service, delivers custom presentations on leasing calls, and assists current residents with service requests.
• Completes all leasing paperwork associated with leasing activity, including rental applications, rental and employment verification. Processes all rental paperwork in accordance with Fair Housing Guidelines.
• Responsible for handling resident’s issues, needs and complaints in a professional, fair and consistent manner. Displays diplomacy during all interactions.
• Gathers market information weekly and prepares reports identifying competitor’s rentals rates, concessions, promotions and property features.
• Pushes value of product and service. Maintains consistent awareness of sub-market to drive income growth

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to analyze and prioritizes tasks assigned
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Yardi software experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills
• Solid business logic
• Follows instructions, performs duties with minimal supervision and is a team player

Works effectively with owner, managers and colleagues. Positive and professional attitude at all times.

Must be available on Saturdays and Sundays.
