PRIMARY PURPOSE:
It is the primary responsibility of the Security Learning Specialist to perform a variety of duties to support the mission and vision of the MGM Resorts International (MGMRI) Security Officer Training Program by delivering, monitoring and guiding technical and nontechnical training for newly hired Security Officers and those seeking career advancement.Ensure the mission of diversity and inclusion is engrained as part of MGM Resorts International training and culture All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct Security Officers courses on a variety of subjects in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with Property Security, Human Resources, and The MGM Resorts University to ensure progression through training courses and testing for completion.
- Assess training needs and implement training and learning opportunities all levels of the organization.
- Conduct CPR instructor course based on American Heart Association requirements, and conduct Defensive Tactics Instructor Train the Trainer with strict adherence to MGMRI policy.
- Plan and manage class schedules, enrollments, training spaces, materials and audio visual needs for training program.
- Perform classroom set?up and breakdown, material preparation, scheduling, inventory ordering and resource allocations.
- Collaborate and maintain instructional guides and participant handouts for training program utilizing adult learning theories and curriculum design methods.
- Evaluate pre? and post?course data for measurement of learning quality, participation, satisfaction, performance and business impact.
- Develop and recommend alternative training methods if needed.
- Manage deadlines and resources, and work with a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
- Perform other job related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of training/facilitation experience.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED:
- Security experience and/or administrative experience.
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
