Hours for this position will be Monday - Friday. Current shifts available:
11:00am - 8:00pm
1:00pm - 10:00pm/Close
**Overtime available as needed**
Starting rate is $17/hour
(start time after 10am an additional $0.50 shift differential)
Total compensation $17.50/hour
- Directly assists Supervisors and performs supervisory responsibilities when assigned, including: executing corrective actions, mentoring and training junior employees, and driving a positive work environment for strong employee morale
- Monitors workflow and completion rates, error rates, return metrics, and coordinates reporting to and from management
- Help maintain a safe work environment by performing a daily safety walk and communicating findings to Supervisors, monitoring compliance with safety regulation requirements, and participation within safety committees.
- Execute the Audit tool Security Check list requirements monthly and coordinate findings with management
- Review complex shipments and staged goods prior to shipping for quality, assist with customer returns, and update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.
- Perform all the tasks of a Senior Warehouse Associate when necessary, including: shipping, receiving, and operating warehouse equipment.
Experience:
- 2 years required of general warehouse experience.
- 1 year required, 2 years preferred experience as a senior warehouse associate or similar role.
Education:
- High School degree or equivalent required.
- First aid certification and Forklift license are an asset.
Skills/Requirements:
- Ability to follow direction.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Working Environment:
- Warehouse – Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment. The noise level is moderately quiet. Generally, well ventilated and well lighted. Warehouse employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather and may be required to wear protective clothing. Operates heavy equipment. Strict safety regulations may be required.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is physically strenuous and workers are required to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.
- Work may require excessive bending or stooping.
- Employee required to climb ladders.
- Employee required to use hand tools.
- Employee uses heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, etc.).
Mental Requirements:
- Employee required to problem-solve.
- Employee required to communicate with the public.
