About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Field Support Operations Materiel Management and Fielding Directorate.

Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates training schedule for events and teams.
- Serves as subject matter expert for Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) including device trainers, fire control systems, calibration, related weapons, and various components used in support of instruction.
- Researches, learns and applies a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
- Articulates and communicates to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion.
- Responsible for training development oversight, advising and mentoring to instructors on various systems and sub-systems as a senior system and team lead.
- Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) input during Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) capability development efforts for and their integration with and simulation of supported weapons systems.

- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a valid state issued Commercial Driver?s License (CDL).
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.

- This position requires the incumbent to work in loud environments to include but not limited to motor pool, weapons live fire, and explosive ordnance.
- This position requires the incumbent to annually to pass a deployment physical to maintain deployable status. Failure to pass the physical may result in separation from the position.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes 1) Delivering operator or maintenance training on weapon systems in motor-pool or field environments; 2) Developing or reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc.;3) Evaluating training results and utilizing automated training tracking systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment.
