The Lead Quality Control Technician role is based at our Burnet Quarry in Burnet, TX and reports directly to the Quality Control Manager.

What you’ll get to do
  • Sample and test raw materials for specification compliance
  • Validate that the proper components and materials are used
  • Calibrate, clean, and maintain production tools and testing equipment
  • Record test results and report them to management
  • Perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe conditions
  • Collaborate with plant employees and build and maintain relationships with customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with plant employees and customers
Essential Experience and Skills
  • State DOT certification or the capability and drive to obtain quickly upon hire
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Proven record of punctuality, excellent attendance, and dependability
  • Good computer literacy – ability to learn computerized analysis equipment and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including different shifts and overtime as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • College degree or technical training/certifications
  • 3-5 years of Quality Control experience
  • Stone quarry or related industry experience
Work Environment
  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
