The Model-based Enterprise (MBEnt) is MFC’s Interdisciplinary Model-based Backbone for Digital Transformation integrating Cost Reduction Enablers with System Design Checks and Optimization, as well as Integrating Ops Consumption and Feedback.

Over the next two years, Integration, Test & Evaluation will be developing its model based implementation as part of MBEnt denoted as MBI&T (model based integration and test).

The processes, tools, and work products developed as part of this will replace current IT&E infrastructure moving forward.

This position is to implement the MBI&T effort focusing on test plan development, program resource planning or verification planning as an individual lead for each of these three sections.

Overall there will be six teams working MBI&T in addition to the overall lead and two others focusing on CCA/harness testing.

The entire project is agile managed through Jira and Confluence tools.

MBI&T major tasks include:
  • Identify source model-based data for Program
  • Implement model-based data consumption for Program
  • Identify MBI&T implementation options
  • Design MBI&T
  • Implement/Pilot MBI&T
  • Implement a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for IT&E’s usage
  • Implement transition for IT&E

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Effective task organization and communication skills.
  • Experience in systems development, integration and production.
  • Experience in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and formal system development/certification experience.
  • SME knowledge of current IT&E processes and work products associated with the position
  • Desire to help set direction for how IT&E works in the future
  • Foundational knowledge of agile processes and willingness to work in an agile environment
  • Ability to work in and with a virtual team
  • Desire to investigate tools as well as other engineering discipline’s MBEnt implementations for IT&E’s possible adoption.
  • SME ability to communicate with all stakeholders to gain their perspectives
  • Ability to effectively weigh multiple options based on numerous factors in a timely manner
Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience and success on a technically challenging development program.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience presenting to program/senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating weapons/sensors onto aircraft and other platforms.
