Lead Maintenance Worker - Carpenter

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Maintenance Worker - Carpenter assists the Project Coordinator in planning, supervising, and completing all work related to the carpenter and remodel staff. Some of the responsibilities consist of ordering materials, working with sub-contractors, keeping track of work schedules, keeping track of tools and controlling costs related to the project. The special nature of this position may require working any shift, any day of the week and holidays. These services further the mission of Enloe Medical Center, which is to provide high quality, cost effective healthcare for the people in the communities we serve.

• Five years' experience in Carpenter and Maintenance work

• Two years' experience in hospital facility maintenance

• Current California Driver's License
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)

• Certification in building trades or hospital maintenance experience

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have working knowledge of building maintenance techniques, equipment operation, plumbing, heating, HVAC, sanitation, electrical systems and some carpentry. Must understand maintenance job specifications and perform industrial ordering. Must have an understanding of fire and safety regulations and state and local building and sanitation codes. Must have the ability to lead, motivate, delegate, analyze information, and problem solve. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
