Responsibilities:
The Lead Facilities Tech will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating facilities projects and upgrades for their assigned locations as well as provide back up support to existing facilities techs in their absence.
Essential Duties:
- Take lead in large projects on Newport Healthcare properties including contacting vendors, requesting bids, scheduling work and oversight of vendor while on property. Such projects include: Large electrical installations, any project involving outside contractors, and coordination of projects where installation will take more than two days.
- Give clear directions and instructions to both team members, house staff, and vendor with regards to external factors, to enable them carryout their duties effectively.
- Work with facilities management team to clarify the duties, roles, and function of team members within the assigned project.
- Create and implement project plan and execution.
- Consistently evaluate project progress and make adjustments to maintain timelines.
- Encourage contributions and input from team members and other key stake holders on the project and acknowledge efforts made by team members and reward them accordingly
- Communicate to all levels of management throughout the project process.
- Support Facilities tech when more labor is needed for specific tasks.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four plus years of experience in facilities maintenance.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
