Position Summary: The EVS Lead, under the direction of a licensed care giver, performs a variety of basic care services related to the cleaning and preparation of the operating room suite according to the hospital standards and policies, and assists in transferring patients to and from the OR table. Here is some of what you can expect from being an OR EVS Lead with us:

• Assists in maintaining clean, well-organized and adequately stocked OR department.

• Maintains a safe environment for the surgical patients by checking the cleanliness of equipment & operating room before every procedure.

• Assumes responsibility for supply and equipment management appropriate to position and in compliance to department standards.

• Assists in patient transfers to and from the operating room table under the supervision an RN.

• Prepares for each procedure and/or surgery.

• Assist with post procedure workload including: cleaning room between procedures, putting away all unused supplies and setting up for the next procedure

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• High School Diploma or GED required

• One (1) year experience in the operating room an environmental services assistant or Operating Room training preferred
