V-Tech Solutions Inc. is immediately seeking enthusiastic and energetic Lead Advanced Peer Recovery Coaches with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) experience to provide outreach support services, assessments, consultations, short term clinical interventions and linkage support services for individuals and communities identified for behavioral health related support. All services will be performed in the natural settings of the individuals in the community including but not limited to shelters, alleys, streets and under bridges. You will have team support as there will be meetings to discuss new findings.
The successful candidate(s) will have:
WORK HOURS: Day Shift: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. + Evening Shift, 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
WORK LOCATION: Washington, DC

The successful candidate(s) will have:
- Knowledge of the recovery process and the ability to facilitate recovery using established standardized mental health and substance use best practices
- Knowledge and skill to teach and engage in basic problem solving strategies to support individual consumers in self-directed recovery
- Knowledge of the signs and symptoms of mental illness and substance abuse and the ability to assist consumers to address symptoms using strategies such as positive self-talk
- Knowledge and skill sufficient to use community resources necessary for independent living and ability to teach those skills to other individuals with severe mental illness
- Knowledge of how to establish and sustain self-help (mutual support) and educational groups by soliciting input from the mental health consumers on their strengths and interests
- Proficient in using electronic health records, desktop, laptops, iPads, Language Line and any other form of technology to perform related job duties
- Peer Specialist or Recovery Coach must be in good standing within 90 days of being assigned to Clinical Services Administration
- Active Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC I & CAC II) or BA/BS in human services oriented field
- Peer Recovery Certificate (must be in good standing at least 90 days prior to submission)
- Minimum of two (2) years of recovery
- Minimum of three (3) years of being a credible messenger within the Behavioral Health Field
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle without restrictions
