LCSW School Based

Community Health & Wellness Center is a Federally Qualified Health Care Center with sites in Torrington, Winsted and Canaan (opening in 2022). We serve all patients regardless of their income, race, or insurance status. We are currently recruiting for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide services for elementary school students in Torrington. This is a 40 per hour week position, working at various Torrington elementary schools. The incoming professional will provide a variety of psychosocial services to children including initial evaluations, treatment planning and clinical behavioral health services.

EDUCATION: Masters’ Degree in Social Work and Licensed (LCSW) under the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two (2) years of related experience working with children. Some behavioral health experience preferred in the areas of culturally diverse populations. Combination of clinical, crisis intervention, systems, case management, conflict-resolution, behavior modification, program development, child development, state and local resources, and group skills needed.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required. Basic computer skills desired.

The salary range for this position is: $25.00 to $43.00 per hour. Salary offered is dependent upon years of applicable experience to the position.
