We are looking for a Full Time Laundry Attendant at the Hampton Inn by Hilton - Southridge who is able to work independently and focus on the details of clean laundry. The Hampton Inn by Hilton - Southridge is a limited service hotel that features 139 guest rooms, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center, indoor pool and a comfortable patio area with a fire pit. Managed by Chesapeake Hospitality, our hotel is a great getaway close to shopping and dining with a friendly and thoughtful staff. This position is a daytime shift with weekend days.Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Perform all stages of linen processing, including, but not limited to, collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading and unloading (washers, dryers and chutes), ironing, folding, storing and delivering.Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry area.
- Maintain linen inventory stock levels.
- Alert management and maintenance of problems and issues concerning the upkeep of equipment and hotel.
- Ensure that duties are performed in accordance with standard operating procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.
- Handle and store all cleaning agents according to set regulations.
- Identify and report any linens found not belonging to the hotel.
- Train and assist new employees with techniques and procedures.
- Complete closing duties which entail shutting down equipment at the end of the shift, preparing work area for next shift and securing work area as set per hotel regulations.
- Ability to attend to guests, associates and management in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Must be detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload.
- Must be energetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
- Ability to make decisions and follow established policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/attire and nametag.
- Employee must be able to maintain standards of attendance and punctuality and must be able to work varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.
