Medtronic Tempe Campus, located in Tempe, Arizona, is looking for a Technician IV to support Laserbond Process Engineering.

A Day in the Life
In this position, you will support shift sustaining process engineering in a 24X7 manufacturing operation that uses industrial lasers to bond microelectronic devices. This is a day shift position on a compressed work week schedule from 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Sustaining, characterizing, and qualifying laserbond processes/equipment. (Must have demonstrable skills and knowledge of industrial lasers, best practices for cleaning and handling optics, programming motion control hardware and statistical process control.)
- Troubleshooting and resolving laserbond equipment/process issues
- Performing fixture preventive and corrective maintenance
- Performing equipment qualification (installation/qualification), gage R&R studies and documentation updates
- Meeting operational attainment of Safety, Quality, and Service goals.
- Performing duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
- Identifying and work to removing barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of projects.
Must Have – Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education and advanced certification in addition to prior work experience
Nice to Have
- Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline or Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or similar technical discipline
- Medical Device Quality Systems knowledge and experience
- Direct manufacturing experience with laserbond equipment, microelectromechanical systems, or similar work experience
- Direct experience qualifying and sustaining laserbond process technologies, with relevant experience with process characterization, design of experiments, equipment qualification, statistical process control, and data analysis methodologies
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross-linked technical work environment.
