The Laser Operator: will be responsible for the set-up, programming, operating and maintenance of computer numeric controlled (CNC) production equipment. This person will report to the Production Supervisor.

The Laser Operator: will be responsible for the set-up, programming, operating and maintenance of computer numeric controlled (CNC) production equipment. This person will report to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, program, operate and maintain CNC machines working from detailed blueprints, to perform a variety of machining operations such as; mill, drill, ream, punch, bore, turn, face, etc. to specific tolerances
- Set up machine by inserting correct tools and fixtures according to blueprints. Select operation sequences, tools, feeds and speeds
- Develop programs occasionally or adjust tapes as required
- Devise new tools and fixtures for unusual operations by making machine adjustments and grinding or sharpening existing tools
- Check dimensions on finished parts using a variety of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers
- Perform QC using standard tools
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience required, preferably in a sheet metal environment
- NC Punch/Laser Experience required
- Ability to program and operate CNC Vertical Mill working from detailed blueprints
- Ability to pay attention to small details
- Ability to read blue prints
- Knowledge of tools and clamping
- Good communication skills
