Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE

Laser mark product efficiently and accurately.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Set-up and operate Laser Marker.
  • Cross-train on additional marking (i.e. ink stamp) tasks within Housing Assembly.
  • Learn all processes and products within the Laser Mark area.
  • Define tooling and fixturing required to make parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance as required (i.e. change bulbs, change filter, etc.).
  • Work with co-workers to ensure quality and production standards meet objectives.
  • Train, coach and mentor co-workers.
  • Utilize the computer to access production information as required.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork as required including scorecards, hazard recognitions, routers and data.
  • Ability to read standard blueprints.
  • Perform related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED).
  • Graduate of a technical school is an asset.
  • Must have knowledge of basic tooling and fixturing.
  • Working knowledge of shop math.
  • Must have computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel).
  • Work overtime as assigned.
  • Understand, follow and effectively communicate verbal and written instruction.
  • Be able to read standard blueprints.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Good eye and hand dexterity.
  • Bend, lift, sit, twist and stand for long periods of time.
  • Required lifting a minimum of 35 pounds. Lifting frequency: Daily.
POSITION COMPETENCIES

  • Work safely following all safety procedures.
  • Participate in set-up reduction activities.
  • Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year.
JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Attendance and punctuality is an essential part of this position.
  • High level of ethics shall be maintained at all times.
  • Positive and professional attitude shall be maintained at all times.
  • Must wear all PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) when performing tasks.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents.
  • The performance of the incumbent in this position will be evaluated based on quality and delivery metrics.
