Laser Manufacturing And Order Fulfillment

We are Benoit’s Design Co., a design and manufacturing studio in Westbrook, Maine. We specialize in home décor, apparel, and gifts that we design and manufacture in house. We are currently in search of a production person to add to our small and dynamic team. We hope to find a motivated and organized individual who can help us grow our ever evolving business.

Responsibilities

• Receiving materials for production including but not limited to; unpacking, quality control, checking inventory, and organization
• Preparation of materials for production including but not limited to; cutting, sanding, painting, and staining
• Running laser machine production in collaboration with our team on product lines including but not limited to; sheet goods, wooden art panels, drinkware using rotary tool, and 3d products
• Organization of incoming and outgoing orders and BDCO projects
• Managing inventory of blank products and sheet goods, assist with ordering materials
• Organization of laser and wood workshops
• Maintenance of laser, keeping up with the cleaning and maintenance schedule
• Cleaning and finishing of products including but not limited to; quality control, gluing, cleaning, sanding, and application of hardware
• Assist with packing and shipping of products

Requirements

• Experience with using a CO2 laser system, experience in Universal Laser System is a plus
• Comfort with using power tools including but not limited to; belt sander, hand sander, table saw, chop saw, panel saw, power drill, and nail gun
• Ability to operate and run a Windows PC
• Ability to learn new computer programs
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to collaborate with team members
• Ability to work independently within team atmosphere
• Must be able to follow verbal and/or written directions and demonstrate thorough execution
• Must be able to report back to team leader with status updates on production
• Willingness to help where and when needed
• Organized, self-motivated, people-oriented, multi-tasker, attention to detail

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Ability to be on your feet moving for 6 or more hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Benefits:

• Paid time off

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
