Landscape Technician

Our primary fall task is pansy installation for high-end residential and we also have some maintenance obligations such as pruning, weeding, and leaf removal. We start on exterior tree lighting, checking last years lights and accepting other trees as our schedule allows. closer to dec we will be doing more involved holiday decorating. its helpful to have experience in these areas, including running 2-cycle equipment, but not mandatory. we have a tight team and look for people who are like-minded: enjoy being outside, a schedule that can be flexible with the weather, & enjoy creating/maintaining beautiful landscapes. Also attention to detail, good communication skills, and dependable transportation are a must. usually we meet at the job site and may need to go to other customer locations. employees use their own vehicles and are paid mileage from the first job to the last if doing multiple jobs in a day. small tools are issued to keep for the duration of employment so a vehicle you can put the tools in is a plus (usually its just a bucket & bag w hand tools). over the years, i have found that the ideal candidate is in average to good physical shape, as there is lots of bending and general body movement. we don't work in the rain, but later in the year you would need to be prepared to wear layers as our weather is quite up and down. we hire many students & teachers, which has worked well for us. many of our employees have other flexible part-time jobs. we work an avg of 3 days/week (no weekends) but more hours are available if desired. pay is dependent on experience.

we are working outside most of the time and often do not see or interact with our customers. when inside, a mask will be provided. we will address the interior holiday decorating as it gets closer and make whatever adjustments are needed to be safe.
