Job Description

Talasaea Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect / Project Manager to join our team of landscape architects and ecologists. The successful candidate will be well experienced in all aspects of the profession and be expected to manage projects from conceptual design through construction documents and construction administration.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in design of mixed use and commercial developments as well as mitigation design of critical areas.

This individual will have a firm foundation of technical knowledge, including landscape materials, details, be adept with codes and permitting, and has an interest in restoring and enhancing fish and wildlife habitat.

Our projects range in size and complexity for mixed use residential communities, retail, commercial, and industrial developments. In addition to providing creativity to site design, exercising technical skills, preparing permit application materials and construction documents, this designer will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from our ecologists in assisting with the preparation of critical area mitigation design reports and permitting documents.

Our small office is situated in a beautiful natural setting in Woodinville, Washington.

Qualifications include:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture.

· Landscape Architecture license or in progress.

· Minimum six (6) years of experience in:

  • Site landscape and open space design
  • Site planning / mitigation design

· Knowledge of native plants of the Pacific Northwest, construction materials, irrigation, construction principles, grading, drainage, and technical aspects of landscape architecture.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD 2012 or newer versions, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Suite, and Hand Drawing.

· Working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes and ordinances applicable to both critical areas and landscape requirements.

· Excellent written communication skills and interpersonal skills.

· Able to perform all functions of the job accurately and in a timely and cost-effective manner under pressure/time constraints.

· Irrigation design abilities a plus.

This is a full-time position (M-F, 8am-5pm) with an excellent salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
