- Apply education, experience and knowledge in developing training curriculum and materials for an adult learning population
- Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculums and recommend changes
- Ensure training curriculum and materials are accurate, relevant and current
- Ensure training curriculum and materials are developed, applicable and clear for both in-person and virtual training delivery
- Review professional publications and other reputable sources to remain current on nutrition and public health information applicable to the program.
- Promote and contribute to the goals of the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in nutritional sciences, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, public health nutrition, or related field required
- Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is preferred.
- Must possess a current certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE).
- Must be training in accordance with the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) competency-based training for WIC Breastfeeding Curriculum.
- Ability to lead, organize and develop breastfeeding related trainings
- Prior knowledge of the WIC Program is preferred
- Must be detail oriented
- Good oral and written communication skills required
- Position will be remote with the expectation of working in office when necessary
- Position is Part Time, approximately 10 hours per week, flexible schedule.
- Create and develop training curriculum and training materials based on proven adult learning techniques
- Create and develop training scenarios and update comprehensive training environment data resources to ensure that systems training mimics the production environment system tools used by employees on a daily basis
- Work extensively with business partners and SME's to perform needs analysis, develop learning objectives, and design deliverables that meet learner and stakeholder needs and organizational quality standards develop qualitative and quantitative assessment tools to measure learner requirements, competencies, and organizational quality standards
- Review and approve the training modules and coordinate with the team to bring consistency and alignment with training and work instructions that allow trainees to demonstrate competence in content and performance effectiveness
- Develop knowledge transfer, team building, and provides effective feedback
- Coordinate create and implementation of the action plan in cooperation with the team to effectively utilize the training environment and systems resources
- Communicate with training team, and ask for feedback on how to strengthen individual and overall team performance
- Review, evaluate, and modify existing and proposed curriculum and recommend changes to policy and procedure as applicable
- Support the Training Manager with assigned duties and act as the departments subject matter expert
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
- Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.
- Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.
- Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
