Essential Job Functions:
- Acts as confined space entry attendant
- Secures and safely transports equipment according to company and DOT policies
- Operates high pressure power washing equipment
- Assists Journeyman Craft positions, to include, but not limited to; structural, scaffold, carpenter and welder
- Performs job site/office/facilities maintenance/clean-up
- Conducts fire watch duty
- Assists in the construction of temporary hoardings/structures
- Assists with lifting scaffolding materials
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in building, and oil & gas construction projects.
- Material handling and storage
- Load and unload freight supplies, haul and hoist materials
- Maintains a clean job site; pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the immediate Supervisor and HSE Supervisor.
- Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Work Experience: One (1) year experience working in oilfield as a Laborer or other field position preferred
- License/Certifications:
- Alaska locations only: Current and valid Drivers’ License
- Alaska locations only: North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Training, required
- Post Job Offer Requirements:
- Take and pass a pre-employment drug test
- Alaska North Slope locations only: Take and pass a Fit-for-Duty Examination
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, hand and power tools, materials and supplies used in basic construction.
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Knowledge in metal, mechanics, or other labor crafts
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in industrial construction.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule and meet deadlines given.
- Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing in English language.
- Skilled in maintaining positive attitude in challenging situations
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
