Lab Technician

StatLab Diagnostics, LLC dba AFC Urgent Care has an exciting Job Opportunity as Lab Tech at a 2018 & 2020 Top Place to Work Clinic in Denver.

Lab Technician with up to date ASCP License OR equal experience.

Responsibilities:

§ Accept the results of calibrators and quality controls

§ Start an instrument that was not previously running to test patient samples.

§ Perform an activity that alters the original matrix, such as mixing in another substance.

§ Perform any activity (other than waived) that directly generates a patient result.

§ Release results from an LIS or EHR system for the doctor or caregiver to make medical decisions.

§ Report critical (life-threatening) results.

§ Performs all lab assistant responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE: Must be able to multitask multiple projects at once, Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team environment. Must have time management skills to complete tasks. Have knowledge of instrumentation and accepted practices, friendly and have a positive personality, Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Qualifications

• Experience with sample sorting
• Experience in a PCR/Microbiology laboratory setting min. of 1 year
• Detail Oriented
• Move with a sense of purpose
• Excellent Data Entry Skills
• BS in Biology/or other Science related field

Job Type: Full-time

*Must be available 1 weekend day per week.
