Job Description


The laboratory technician will perform routine analytical tests under the supervision of the Lab Manager. You will conduct routine QA/QC tests. In doing so, you will become skilled in the use of GC-FID, GC-Mass Spectrometry, FTIR, DSC and particle size analysis. You will learn basic separation and extraction techniques for analytical analysis and characterization.


  • Quality control testing of production batches of inks and coatings.
  • Associated clerical work (entering results into SAP, printing labels, filing, etc.)
  • 5-S cleaning and maintaining the area
  • Sample retain management
  • Some customer proofing
  • Flexible to cover other shifts if needed

Qualifications


To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Pass color vision test
  • Have Good math skills
  • Have basic computer skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have High School graduate or GED equivalent

Additional Qualifications that are helpful:

  • Prior ink/coating experience
  • Experience with X-Rite spectrophotometer and software
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Some college preferred
