Kansas City Millwork is currently hiring for a General Manager in Olathe, KS.
The Kansas City Millwork General Manager will have the highest standards for performance and drive accountability across the organization. The GM will ensure engagement across the organization while leveraging excellent communication and listening skills. The individual must be defined by an obsessive focus on execution, strong bias for action, decisiveness, and a sense of urgency. Duties will include allocating budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring good customer service, improving administration processes, leverage vendor relationships, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities. This position directs Sales, Sales Support, Purchasing, Operations, Production, Installation, and other departments to ensure effective collaboration and implementation of plans and programs that are in support of the Company’s strategies and objectives.

Essential Functions
- Provide dynamic leadership to build, coach, develop, manage, and evaluate high performance teams to insure company growth and profitability goals.
- Provide leadership to develop, recommend, and implement strategies and processes to develop drive revenue growth, customer loyalty and retention that are consistent with Company goals and that maximize the Company’s return on investment
- Full P&L responsibility for the assigned location(s)
- Develop and utilize key best practices to drive business development and new products to grow the business
- Provide direction to the sales manager and oversee administration of sales policies and procedures, pricing administration, margin enhancement, identify new products, new segments, and revenue streams
- Oversee and provide direction to the Operations Manager and operations team to lower or optimize cost to serve through continuous improvement and deployment of lean processes. Ensure the purchasing and inventory management functions deploy the best supply chain practices to ensure proper or best use of company assets while providing the level of service our customer expect.
- Collaborate with senior management and other internal and external partners to assist with the development and implementation of new products, services, and operational improvements.
- Develop relationships with new and key accounts, vendors and channel partners and assist with business issues and problem resolution in coordination with applicable Company personnel.
- Communicate regularly and provide updates on business performance, opportunities and challenges and ensure key metrics are clearly communicated.
- Organize and conduct team meetings to insure clear communication and line of site to key business activities and initiatives
- Participate in the annual budget and business plan process in support of organizational strategies and objectives to establish priorities, increase market share and identify opportunities with the greatest potential to maximize profits. Make necessary adjustments in expenses, plans and programs to meet financial objectives.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations
- Keep supervisor informed of all matters of significance and take appropriate corrective action or suggest alternative courses of action.
- Monitor progress again goals and objectives, provide status updates and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
