Northside Catholic Academy is a two-campus elementary school serving diverse communities on the north side of Chicago. NCA has a Primary School Campus for students Pre K - 4th grade and a Middle School Campus for students in 5th - 8th grade.

STEAM Job Description
Northside Catholic Academy is seeking a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of our K - 8 STEAM teacher. The STEAM teacher will be responsible for

• Development of STEAM curriculum
• Developing STEAM learning activities and hands-on materials for grades K - 8
• Implement strategies to integrate STEAM experiences into content area curriculum in grades 5 through 8
• Monitor student growth to identify strengths and areas for improvement
• Use learner data to constantly refine the curriculum
• Provide frequent and consistent feedback to students
• Communicate regularly to parents

STEAM Teacher Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEAM field
• IL teaching license
• Expert level of technology and 21st century learning and application
• Experience with Google Apps for Education
• Experience with 3D printing, laser cutting, Sphero, Code Academy, Drone, Green Screen
• Effective writtern and verbal communication skills
• Good classroom management skills
• Good teamwork abilities
