Job Description
The Opportunity | Junior Technical Sales Engineer

The position will be responsible for handling all customer service aspects of their assigned customers/accounts to ensure Farris growth and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Applications Engineering and Inside Sales Manager. Major duties include: quoting, order entry and follow-up, technical support, commercial support and voice of the customer.

Your Challenge

  • Provide Customer Service for assigned Representatives, including but not limited to: technical support, commercial support, voice of the customer, expediting, etc.
  • Prepare quotations, including but not limited to: pressure relief valve sizing and selection, pricing, lead-time, shipping terms and special requirements.
  • Complete review of customer's Purchase Order or Letter of Intent to ensure all commercial terms are acceptable or included in Farris' terms and conditions.
  • Complete review of detailed specifications to ensure Farris complies with the customer's technical requirements.
  • Responsible to review, enter, and manage orders resulting from conversion of a quotation to an order or orders received directly from a representative.
  • Establish priority and enter all orders within acceptable timeframe.
  • Identify and communicate issues that prevent order entry to Team Leader, in a timely manner, to prevent any extended order entry delays that would compromise ship date commitments.
Your Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or other related technical discipline from an accredited institution
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Technical sales experience preferred
