All of our paralegals and lawyers work side-by-side throughout every client’s matter to ensure success at every step. Applicants for the Junior Paralegal position should be seeking opportunity on a fast-paced legal team servicing corporate clients. The Junior Paralegal role allows for the development of working relationships within a team, and the ability to grow your career in the legal services industry.

The core essential traits ideal for this role include:

  • Oversight of written civil discovery process, file organization, and issuance of subpoenas.
  • Organization of records obtained in response to subpoenas, and summarization of records – including detailed chronological summary of voluminous medical records.
  • Coordination of delivery of records to various interested parties including co-counsel and experts.
  • Management of projects with attorneys, legal assistants and experts.
  • Provide case management and organization from inception; discovery, trial and post-trial support. Review and analyze documents for production
  • Timekeeping with documentation of tasks performed.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery, record summaries and subpoenas

Necessary skills for a Junior Paralegal include: organization, succinct and accurate writing, proactive document handling, clear communication, and a positive “can-do” attitude.

Qualifications:

  • A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association or an affidavit of prior paralegal experience is a must
  • Excellent communication and organization abilities
  • Strong research skills
