Overview:

Himsben Design Studio (HDS), a rapidly-growing design + build landscape architecture firm with home office in Edgewater is seeking to add to its’ talented team with an opening in Landscape Architecture Design & Construction. Description:

The Junior Designer will work closely with Design and Production teams to facilitate the seamless execution of projects. Assist in project management including initial client lead intake, execution of renderings and design decks, procurement and scheduling of project materials, communication with design and production team, and management of production calendar. Provide additional support and assistance where needed to facilitate the flow and completion of jobs. Collect project data and set up projects for bidding and billing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creation and management of client files (digital and physical)
  • Lead Intake & Logging of New Clients in System
  • Assist in creating base maps in CAD for Design Team
  • Managing production calendar, and ensuring material orders, digger locates, and production folders are ready for production team.
  • Communicating updates or material substitutions to Design Team
  • Ordering materials and scheduling deliveries
  • Preparing design decks for client presentations

Requirements:

Good sense of humor, and a drive to learn, and be a good team player. 1-3 years working in the landscape industry, and Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture Preferred.

Horticultural knowledge of ornamental plant species, including trees, shrubs, and perennials for Midwest.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite preferred. Experience with Adobe Suite, Sketch Up, or Lumion a bonus.

Compensation based on skills and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
