Junior Java Developer

Jacobs is seeking a Junior Java Developer to join our team in Vienna, Virginia.

Your Impact:

• Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional areas and develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
• Translate detailed designs into computer software.
• Test, fix, and refine the computer software to produce the required product.
• Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Accurately represent customer requirements.
• Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Able to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
• Gather and interpret relevant data and information.
• Experience in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Master’s degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with two years of relevant experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with four years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis; OR
• Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with six years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis; OR
• Eight years of relevant experience in application programming.

Desired Skills:

• Advanced skills in Java, .Net, NoSQL and other scripting languages approved by the Government preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
