About you:
We are seeking an experienced, skilled, and passionate Junior Interior Designer to join our growing Design Team!
What you’ll be doing:
- Join with the interior designer to help lead clients through the design of their custom home according to their needs, dreams, and budget
- Attend design meetings in the New Leaf office to assist with material sample presentations
- Produce construction documents and digital design boards in precise detail
- Aid in the development of both the overall vision and the intricate design details for each project
- Help with material pricing and purchasing during the design and construction phases of the projects
- Meet with contractors, vendors, and clients on site during the construction phase of the projects
- Communicate clearly and skillfully with clients both in person and electronically
- Stay in the know of the materials library and research potential improvements and additions
- Actively contribute to the creative and visionary process of each home
- Manage many tasks in different stages at once within a fast-paced environment
- Understand and work within the confines, priorities, and mindset of new home construction
- Assist in the creation of budgets for all aspects of the home’s design features and fixtures
- Keep the sample library up-to-date, organized, and presentable -
- Collaborate with team members in both the design and construction departments
- Follow and work closely with interior designers in an effort to improve efficiency
- Aid in the production and presentation of design boards and construction documents
- Answer questions and provide guidance for design details to project managers in construction
- Gather material samples for client presentations and library upkeep
- Create and work within spreadsheets to help others stay organized and informed
- Attend quality control walks for each project during construction
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of 1 year working as a residential interior designer
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
- A willingness to grow with an ever-evolving company and an eagerness to learn from others
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Must be a great listener and communicator who is able to relate to and build relationships with clients
- Extensive knowledge of reputable vendors, manufacturers, and companies in this industry
- Motivation to improve processes, bring growth, and lead with positivity and encouragement
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Comfortable working with Excel and Google Workspace
- Ability to problem solve and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence to both work independently and within a team

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
