SAIC has an immediate need for a Junior Game Developer to support the AGS software team located in Huntsville, AL!

Program Info:
The select candidate for this position will become a member of the Army Game Studio s software development team for America's Army: The Official U. S. Army Game as well as numerous military and scientific First Person Shooter (FPS) style training and simulation applications.

Responsibilities Include:

• As a member of the AGS software development team you will be tasked to develop vehicles, weapons, characters, interfaces, and other game related content utilizing Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 & 4, Unity 3, and Bohemia Interactive Real Virtuality development environments.
• In this position you will be a key member of an agile scrum development team working closely with fellow programmers, game designers, and artists on the implementation of new features for existing and new FPS style games and games for training applications.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in a related technical field and 0 years related experience

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; US citizenship required

Required Skills:

• Experience defining, designing, implementing and supporting software production processes
• Experience in object-oriented design and programming
• Experience using the Unreal game engine (UE3 and/or UE4)
• Passion for game development and knowledge of first-person style shooter games
• Experience coding in C++ - Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Understanding of memory management and runtime optimization
• Excellent problem solving skills

Desired Skills:

• Software development experience with FPS style games or man-in-the-loop training systems
• Experience using Perforce or a similar SCM
• Experience using Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence
• Development experience in one or more of the following programming languages is a plus: Unreal Blueprints, Unreal Script, C#, Bohemia Interactive Script, DirectX, and OpenGL

Target salary range: $50,001 - $75,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
