Position Summary
We are searching for a qualified Junior Designer to join our National Merchandising team.
Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all FF&E selections for assigned model homes nationwide
  • Furniture Space Planning and Art Elevations for assigned models
  • Soft Goods design and specifications for assigned models
  • Responsible for attending design review meetings and managing follow-up for assigned divisions to include: coordination with procurement team, purchasing any retail items and coordinating delivery, follow up and file photos of completed punch list items
  • Attend model installations in all divisions – must be willing and able to travel
  • Assist in production of electrical diagrams and paint/non-texture schedules to distribute to the field.
  • Assist in maintaining the design library as well as meet with reps to keep samples updated
  • Other responsibilities to be determined based on divisional or regional needs in addition to the above.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associates Degree or Associates of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design or related field. 2-5 years of Merchandising/Design experience
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, able to verbalize and write professionally and possess effective problem- solving skills.
  • Must have trained and aesthetic sense for design as well as drafting skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Publisher, Adobe
  • Time management and organizational skills a must.
  • Must be willing and able to travel and possess a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $48,000- 62,000
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Year-end Discretionary
