Overview

The Lennar Supply Chain Management Jr Product Owner will participate in driving the product strategy and delivery. Jr Product Owners will be responsible for understanding and executing the strategic direction of the portfolio that is being supported. The Jr Product Owner will be responsible for translating that direction into product roadmaps, user stories, product specification to name a few. This role is responsible for collaborating with various business, technology and operations team members and leaders to help collect and analyze business requirements and outcomes to focus product strategy and direction. within Lennar.


Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Jr Product Owner will advocate for the Customer, the Supply Chain Management Team and their stakeholder groups including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project
  • Assist in planning and prioritizing features and capabilities
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Assist in defining, measuring and monitoring product (KPI) performance and use as input into product roadmap definition
  • Deliver business value by working closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors and the industry
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant area) or certification required.
  • 7+ years relevant work experience: 2+ years working as a Product Owner; 1+ years experience as an analyst gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Prior experience with Agile processes and principles
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable project management accomplishments.
  • Preferable knowledge of one or more of the following: Item Master or Master Data Management; Purchasing / Procurement; Construction Bidding, Estimating or Contract Management;
  • Proven attention to detail while meeting multiple deadlines and working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including defining requirements, system design and quality assurance desired
  • Experience in business process design and documentation methodologies and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use-case modeling, and business case development
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Proven history of delivery
  • Team player with strong work ethic and integrity

Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the Jr. Product Owner to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry up to 25 lbs. Finger dexterity is necessary

  • Travel up to 50% of the time to Divisions within the Lennar family.
