Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Support persons supported to identify their specific interests, skills, and experience that may contribute to obtaining competitive integrated employment or self-employment.
2) Arrange and accompany persons supported to participate in business tours and job shadowing to explore opportunities for work related to the persons’ interests, skills, and experience.
3) In integrated work settings, observe and assess the persons supported interpersonal and work skills through community and volunteer experiences. Determine work skills and supports needed for successful employment.
4) Participate in planning meetings related to job development and referrals from Vocational Rehabilitation.
5) Identify and provide training, services, and supports so that a person supported can maintain competitive integrated employment or self-employment.
6) Complete daily documentation and other documentation regarding work related activities in a timely manner. Generate progress reports required by DIDD, ECF waiver, Choices waiver, and Vocational Rehabilitation.
7) Assist the person supported to independently complete as many job duties as possible, and facilitate the use of technology or natural supports, so that job coach supports can be faded to the greatest extent possible. Interact with and train coworkers and supervisors when they are interested in providing Job Coaching activities and supports.
8) Assist with coordination and provision of transportation to and from work as needed. Provide transportation as necessary during the provision of job coaching.
9) Provide personal assistance as needed by the person supported on the job while Job Coaching is occurring.
10) Complete initial and ongoing training required including but not limited to VR, DIDD, Choices and ECF waiver, and keep all required certifications current.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.50 - $11.50 per hour
