Janitorial/Floor Care SpecialistJob overview: The Janitorial Specialist performs all specialized and restorative cleaning and maintenance tasks associated with the Janitorial team at Relay Resources. The Janitorial Specialists will perform tasks associated with the maintenance of carpets and hard surface floors, large scale cleanings, and deep cleaning and dis-infections of clients’ sites. Wages & Benefits:

• Shift: M-F 5:00PM-1:30AM (overtime available due to business need)
• Site Location: Justice Center, 1220 SW 3rd Ave Portland OR
• Wage: $15.25-$17.25 DOE
• Full-time benefits include medical, dental, 403b retirement plan, and life insurance

Duties and Responsibilities:Carpet Care:

• Perform pre-spotting, extraction, and bonneting on carpets in multiple work sites
• Use only Relay-approved carpet cleaning methods, chemicals and equipment
• Upholstery cleaning tasks required
• Utilize truck-mount and portable carpet cleaning equipment in work performance

Hard Floor Maintenance:

• Perform stripping, scrubbing, sealing, applying finish and polishing on hard floor surfaces in multiple work sites
• Use only Relay-approved floor methods, finishes, sealers and chemicals
• Utilize auto scrubber and burnishing machine in work performance
• Utilize turbo tool equipment for grout / hard floor surface cleaning

Specialized Janitorial Tasks:

• Perform on-demand janitorial duties at various sites to assist in large-scale cleaning operations such as post-construction cleans and large-scale disinfections
• Utilize specialized janitorial equipment to perform tasks such as electrostatic sprayers, Kaivac restroom cleaners and commercial pressure washers

Qualifications and Experience:

• One year of verifiable carpet maintenance experience preferred
• One year of verifiable floor stripping and finishing experience preferred
• Janitorial/custodial experience preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to pass drug screening and criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting as appropriate at any time during employment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable automobile, safe driving record and insurance coverage acceptable to RR’s insurance carrier

Work Environment:
