Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The ITS Technical Support Analyst I provides the first line of support for physicians and hospital staff requesting assistance with computer problems, network connectivity issues, printer & peripherals problems, and software application issues. The primary responsibility is to provide technical support in person or by telephone, email, or remote access while effectively and efficiently prioritizing competing tasks under pressure in a fast-paced professional working environment. This person will work in a complex network environment, which provides many opportunities for learning and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior technical support experience in the healthcare industry is preferred
  • 2 years of current demonstrable skills and experience in these areas
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact with people at all levels of the organization and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical users.
  • Excellent organization skills and consistent attention to detail are required.
  • Must be able to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills, a passion for problem solving and the ability to think ahead and utilize a variety of technical resources to follow through with IT issues all the way to resolution.
  • Decision Making/Judgment: This position involves projects and tasks requiring decision-making regarding procedures, plans, and schedules. Although there are sometimes problem-solving guidelines for particular problems, there may be no existing procedures or instructions for those problems. The ITS Technical Support Analyst I may be on their own in solving problems and determining satisfactory solutions.
  • Must be able to participate in after-hours/weekends on-call rotation with a maximum on site response time of twenty minutes.

Salary Range: $21.90/hr. + DOE
