Job Description

The Tech II will perform remote and on-site IT repair and implementation in Memphis and surrounding vicinity.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Providing customers with support for their individual or organization’s computer repair needs, which will include basic help desk support up to advanced IT troubleshooting. This position involves troubleshooting workstation, networking, storage and server issues as well on a variety of platforms including: Microsoft Windows (All Versions), Mac OSX, Windows Server (All Versions), MS Exchange, Active Directory, Terminal Services, Cisco and Meraki hardware, and various networking protocols such as VPN, TCP/IP, etc.

+ Provide break-fix support, such as hardware replacement, operating system reinstalls, virus and malware removal and other hardware maintenance

+ Assist with the rollout of large projects, including installing computers, networking equipment, server and storage solutions and more

+ Communicate in layman’s terms complex technology to customers in person and over the phone

+ Coordinate with Sales Staff and Management, as well as other technical staff on project planning, and implementation

+ Ability to interact at all levels of management internally, and with customers and suppliers

+ Superior communication skills, both verbal and written

+ Takes initiative and doesn’t need constant instruction

+ Must be able to multi-task and manage time amongst clients

+ Flexibility and ability to bounce between projects quickly

+ A natural troubleshooter; someone who will see a problem through until its resolved, and is able to quickly diagnose problems even on technology not previously worked with

Requirements:

+ 3+ years of experience working in this high-speed, fast paced and ever-changing field

+ 3+ years of experience in Windows AND Mac OSX repair and troubleshooting

+ 2+ years of Windows Server maintenance/installation and configuration

+ 3+ years wired/wireless network installation and troubleshooting experience

+ Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, highly competitive, deadline oriented environment

+ A fun, customer-focused attitude

+ Networking Troubleshooting Experience

+ An extensive amount of experience in basic computer troubleshooting

+ A+ Certification

+ Network+ Certification Desired But Not Required

+ Storage Experience

+ Windows Server v12-2019

+ MS O365 Hosted Exchange

+ Active Directory

+ RDS Deployment and Setup

+ Cisco and Meraki Knowledge or Equivalent

+ Network Protocols

+ VPNs

+ TCP/IP (Site to site and point to site)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
