Job Description

Forward-thinking technologist wanted! Entech Instruments, Inc. is looking for a junior to middle-level IT professional to join our exciting and talented team. This individual’s main role will be to lend IT support to our employees locally as well as remotely. This professional will help evaluate current systems and networks and suggest improvements to increase security, stability, speed, and flexibility. The secondary role for this individual will be to assist the QA/QC Department in checking out instruments and ensure that every instrument leaving the facility operates according to design specifications and is free from defects. The focus in QA/QC activities is to maintain quality standards by approving, inspecting, and analyzing in-progress production and finished products to verify quality results.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between Entech and an outside IT support company
  • Provide technical support to employees and occasionally customers over email, phone, and in person to help
  • Help diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Integrate, track, and update software and devices
  • Work with management to improve technology usage and suggest improvements to increase security, stability, speed, and flexibility
  • Assist the QA/QC Department in checking out instruments and ensure that every instrument leaving the facility operates according to design specifications and is free from defects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT support role supporting local and remote users
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Windows and occasionally MacOS
  • Excellent computer and networking skills
  • Ability to work well with others and provide excellent and prompt attention to IT issues as they arise
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts
  • Attention to detail and high-level organizational skills
  • Strong desire to learn and improve own personal skill-set
  • Ability to stay on task with minimal oversight
  • Experience as a quality inspector, auditor, or design engineer in an electrical equipment manufacturing business a plus.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
