- This position is located in Headquarters, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Office of the Assistant Director for Operations, Information Technology Division.
- Responsible for integration, planning, system implementation, system operation, performance management, and customer support for Oracle and SQL technologies.
- Plans and manages overall system configurations to include defining system needs and requirements for both hardware and software.
- Formulates long and short-term database technology needs and management plans, equipment/software requirements, resources needed to support systems, interfaces required, and modifications or additions to accommodate enhancements.
- Assures the secure configuration of DCAA database systems in compliance with DoD information security assurance regulations.
- Coordinates with and supports the Information Assurance (IA) Team for vulnerability scans, patches, monitoring, and mitigation of findings according to agency and DOD level authority.

Basic Requirement: Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating the following competencies appropriate to, or above, the level of this position. Customer Service- experience maintaining relationships with customers, assessing current information technology needs of customers, and developing or identifying information technology products and services that are tailored to meet customer needs.
Oral Communication- briefing mid-level management and IT staff on the status of information technology systems, projects, or daily operations, including the communication of technical information to a non-technical audience.
Problem Solving- identifying alternatives to address complex information technology-related issues by gathering and applying information from a variety of sources that provide a number of potential solutions.
Specialized Experience: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must have one year specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience includes: application of advanced IT business process engineering concepts and methods, database system administration (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle), high availability and failover services (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server Failover Clusters), advanced IT security concepts, and best practices to improve IT infrastructure effectiveness.

Incumbent must possess or attain (within 6 months of employment) an Information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP) in accordance with DoD 8570.01 as a condition of continued employment.
Initial Probationary Period: You will be required to serve an initial probationary period of 2 years if one has not already been completed.
Performance Appraisal: If you are a current Federal employee, you must be rated fully successful or higher on your current performance rating to be eligible for promotion. You may be asked to provide a copy of your performance appraisal during the evaluation and selection process.
Background Investigation: selectee will be subject to a personnel security investigation which must be favorably adjudicated for occupancy of a sensitive position and/or access to classified information. If you are selected for a critical/special sensitive position, you will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). For a critical sensitive position, you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret level. For a special sensitive position, you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level AND you will be subject to a random counterintelligence scope polygraph.
Drug Testing: If you are given access to classified information, you will be subject to random drug testing. If you are selected for a special sensitive position, you will be placed in a drug testing designated position. You must pass a drug test before your assignment to such a position and you will be subject to random drug testing subsequent to your assignment.
Selective Service: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see www.sss.gov).
Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP): You must be well qualified for the position to receive special selection priority under the ICTAP.
