Job Summary, Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:
As the IT Site lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the local IT footprint, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, servers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, physical security & surveillance systems, and voice/pbx systems. Additionally, you will interface with a global team of IT resources who support enterprise applications and engineering toolsets in both cloud environments and in on premise data centers. This will provide you with a great opportunity to learn and work with various technologies with high visibility to the business.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the escalation point for all IT issues at the site
- Analyze problems and recommend hardware and software solutions as needed
- Partner with global IT teams to provide immediate and long-term solutions to issues and anomalies
- Assist with the configuration, support and maintenance of the local area network infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and other support teams to solve complex problems
- Assist with new employee onboarding including imaging/issuing laptop/desktop PCs
- Quickly respond to requests, incidents and changes logged in global servicedesk system
- Execute and provide feedback for operational policies, procedures, processes, and standards
- Lead and manage projects
- Ensure 100% user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
- Send weekly and monthly reports regarding status of the site
- Ensure all operational processes are clearly documented and maintained
- Participate in support of global service desk issues when necessary
Qualifications/Experience Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience directly managing a site of 100+ employees
- Must have experience with networking, server and desktop technologies
- Must have experience with Microsoft and Linux operating systems
- Must have experience with server virtualization technologies (Vmware/Hyper-V/KVM/Xen)
- Must have experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS/Azure/GCP/O365)
- Must have experience with PC support including desktop imaging
- Must have experience with backup and recovery solutions for virtual environments
- Must have experience with Active Directory domain administration
- Prefer certifications in MCSE/MCSA/O365
- Prefer experience supporting VOIP technologies such as RingCentral/Jive/Teams/8x8
- Prefer experience with Mobile Device Management technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, and TCP/IP protocols
- Experience with Passive Optical Networks in LAN environment desirable
- Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
- Experience with building IT infrastructure in new sites
- Experience with Oracle SPARC hardware and Solaris Operating System desired
- Experience with ITIL based concepts including request, incident and change management
- Familiarity with cloud-based service desks like ServiceNow, Zendesk, Freshworks desirable
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and customer focus
