- Maintain proficiency with managing technology applications that support organization operations and infrastructure.
- Advocate for transformation, best practices, and safe implementation of Health IT.
- Troubleshoot system issues and work with other application analysts and information technology staff to make necessary changes for resolution.
- Escalate issues appropriately for resolve.
- Create, review, and interpret reports needed to make system changes or determine issues.
- Work in tandem with Clinical Informatics personnel and application analyst III with assisting end user groups in development, coordination, and implementation of enhancements to the application.
- Assist in new product assessments.
- Support new system releases, including in-depth tests and end-user reviews for modified and new technology applications and other post-implementation tasks.
- Assist in developing and maintaining up-to-date Standard Operating Procedure documentation.
- Analyze financial data to determine areas of concern for management.
- Actively participate as a member and leader of various teams and committees.
- Safeguard assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures during implementation and planning.
- Ensure that new or modified technology applications maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with state and federal regulatory compliance.
- Participate in budget activities for relative systems supported with Information Technology department.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Communicate using language understandable by both IT professionals as well as managers and staff that support patient care and business unit departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or business related field preferred
- Four years of healthcare experience
- Excellent computer skills required
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Experience in overseeing the implementation of software and hardware systems, services, and issues resolution
- Project management, organization, documentation, and communication skills
- Understanding of system integration and data workflows
