JOB POSITION:

IT Senior Support Specialist / Helpdesk Manager

Summary:

This position will lead our support group, providing support and solutions for all our employees and incubations. You will be providing technical leadership and managing the operations of the helpdesk and coordinating external helpdesk resources while providing excellent support to our users.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide and ensure excellent end-user support for our employees.
  • Provide Technical Leadership for junior support staff
  • Manage the day-to-day helpdesk activities, including coordinating with our outsourced helpdesk augmentation group.
  • Deploy, troubleshoot and manage Microsoft, Apple and Android devices and systems.
  • Basic administration of on-premises and cloud-based Windows AD, File and Print servers.
  • User administration of SaaS solutions such as Office 365, Financial and HR systems.
  • End-user network troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Maintain IT ticketing and asset management systems.
  • Administration of endpoint management and protection systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours requests.
  • Assist in installation of servers, networking and storage systems.
  • Provide recurring status reports on support activities.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, personal initiative and enthusiasm to help end users.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an end user support role, preferably with recent experience in a senior role
  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Windows Operating Systems (10/2016/2019) and Active Directory user administration.
  • Experience with MacOS, Apple Computers, Apple and Android Phones and Devices is a plus.
  • Experience with Dell Computers is a plus.
  • Experience with Office 355. Multi-tenancy experience is a plus.
  • Experience with user administration of Identity management systems. Okta Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with virtualization systems and containerization in general (Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, VMware, Docker, etc.) with recent experience with VMware a plus.
  • Experience with Azure, Google Cloud or AWS is a plus.
  • Understanding of switches and basic routing.
  • Recent experience with end-point security and management solutions.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a routine basis.
