Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The IT Manager is responsible for providing management of technology initiatives that support our short and long-term initiatives, mission, and vision. The ideal candidate will manage information technology operational objectives including business systems, infrastructure services/staff and performance. Defines effective, stable, and consistent change processes against business systems, infrastructure and information systems services. Manages the reporting of information technology systems performance and availability. The IT manager will work collaboratively with peers, internal and external stakeholders to apply the most relevant cost-effective technology to accomplish our objectives.


Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field required with postgraduate or additional training/certification preferred

Job Experience:

  • 10 years or more of computer systems and IT experience with at least four years of experience at the management level
  • ERP experience in a manufacturing setting (Epicor preferred)
  • Experience developing and managing IT budgets
  • Experience engaging and managing IT suppliers
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the information technology industry (i.e. developments in systems and hardware, evolving technology, services, etc.), along with a thorough understanding of technical details
  • Required knowledge and experience managing team’s responsible software design/development, testing, technical operations and technical support

Skills/Special Training Required to Effectively Perform the Job:

  • Strong reasoning, analytical and problem solving skills; ability to be a critical thinker and good facilitator
  • Experience supporting PC’s, laptops, workstations and associated software for at least 100+ end users
  • Knowledgeable with data system integrations
  • G Suite and Office exchange and office 365 experience a plus
  • Experience with Epicor BAQ developments, SSRS Reporting, Crystal reports ,and Sql database is a plus
  • Strong understanding of basic technical architectures including LANS, WANS and VPN.
  • Great people skills with the ability to communicate and build strong relationships with colleagues, direct-reports, supervisors and outside consultants
  • Experience with API or other dashboard developments
  • Effective oral/presentation and written communication skills including the ability to present ideas, and/or facts and recommendations effectively
  • Self-starting personality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and personalities simultaneously

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the computer’s system and network
  • Respond, in a timely manner, to service issues and requests
  • Manages and coordinates IT security resources with the objective of strengthening the organization’s security posture and maximizing the overall effectiveness of all IT security services.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of Identity and Access Management, Security Architecture and Design, Network Security, Physical and Environmental Security, Cryptography, Application Security, and Incident Response.
  • Continuously iterate and improve the efficiency of production and distribution.
  • Oversee investigations of suspected misuse of IT resources, possible breaches, unauthorized disclosure, unauthorized access, and other security issues.
  • Coordinate IT security assessments and develop prioritized remediation plans as necessary
  • Conduct security meetings and briefings on risks, threats, and best practices
  • Maintain knowledge of currently evolving security threats and trends required to bring timely remediation to critical vulnerabilities and proactively mitigate security risks
  • Cloud Infrastructure Experience Preferred – AWS, Google Cloud Platform, B2
  • Identity Management Provisioning / Deprovisioning Preferred (Google Auth, Okta, OneLogin, JumpCloud
  • Substantial experience in Directory management through G Suite or other (Users, Groups, OUs)
  • Thorough understanding of troubleshooting principles is essential with a willingness to be applying these principles effectively continually
  • Understanding of IT security principals including “least privileged” access, data governance, etc.
  • Ability to seek proactive solutions to difficult situations
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and deliver projects
