Job Description

Johnson & Johnson Corporate Business Technology is recruiting for an IT Manager – Platform Technology Lead for Enterprise Learning & Development products located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Position Summary:

The position will work within the Human Resources Domain and will play a key role in understanding and translating business needs into business-language user to support a new initiative that will be looking at the Learning Ecosystem across J&J to drive a Enterprise Learning & Development Strategy and Roadmap. Heavy emphasis will be working closely with the Business Process Owners (BPO).

A large part of the role will be to work closely with Business Partners, Vendors, Technical Services, and Enterprise Architect to drive the Enterprise Learning & Development strategy and roadmap including delivery of selected Learning Technology stack to enable the J&J Learning Journeys. Responsible for building and maintaining platforms that can be used across solutions and products, supporting domains/regions, and enabling scale.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that platforms are able to support multiple products
  • Responsible for platform solution design & engineering across:
  • Business Platform services
  • Application platforms
  • Tools and Utilities
  • Digital platforms
  • End-user solution (e.g., mobility, client virtualization, core desktop)
  • Day to day platform configuration management
  • Sets priorities for platform builds
  • Partner closely with business and IT for other Learning Management Systems that need to be consolidated and brought into the Enterprise solution.
  • Drives standardization and consistency of platforms deployed globally that can meet business objective and solution standards
  • Be a subject matter related to support of Enterprise Learning, integrations, and peripheral technologies at Global scale.
  • Partner with Enterprise architects to define and design the integration strategy and platform(s) user integration experience
  • Work with business product owners, technology product owners, solution leads, and product analysts to support the development and use of products on platforms
  • Works with Product Analyst in articulating technical user stories where needed
  • Deliver to Service Catalog and Blueprint defined in Pre-Phase 0 linked to user needs and business value
  • Partner with teams for requirements collection, impact analysis, portfolio prioritization, engineer technical landscape and report out to business partners.
  • Collaborate with global/regional product owners, provide technical guidance, direction, and oversight on a Global level.
  • Coordinate and track operational and project timelines, and issue and risks based on the global program critical initiatives and goals.
  • Collaborate and implement standards covering Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid Project methodologies.
  • Drive robust partnership, visibility and communication by establishing a regular meeting cadence with Regional and Global partners.
  • As a key member of CBT, develop and maintain positive relationships with internal business areas, and Third Party Vendors to ensure compliance and excellence in execution.

Qualifications


Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of cumulative five years of relevant IT and/or business experience in multi-country Human Resources, Learning, Talent Management areas.
  • Solid experience in Project Management and Transformation
  • Vendor Management and Third Party collaboration experience
  • Experience working with cross functional teams including up/down the organizations, and external partners
  • Prior track record with successful solutioning and handling complex integrations and technology landscape
  • Proven track record to collaborate cross-functionally and globally to plan and deliver both strategic and tactical solutions to the business
  • Strong product management mind-set with the ability to handle backlogs, dependencies, and critical path activities
  • Ability to multitask, lead, delegate, champion collaboration, build working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to confidential information and present complex information in understandable way to all levels of the organization
  • Strong influencing, communication, analytical skills
  • Solid attention to detail and sense of urgency

Preferred:

  • Proven ability in managing large projects, operational excellence including setting the framework for Incidents/improvements and Change Management
  • Experience in Learning Systems, UI, LCMS, LXP, LRS
  • Expertise on Testing tools HP-ALM, JIRA, X-Ray/equivalent tool
