The IT EDI Analyst is part of a team that supports all customer and logistics trading partner electronic interaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyzes and implements EDI requirements with trading partners, especially with attention to needs and circumstances that are slightly unusual.
- Communicates with training partners asking questions, offering advice and education to trading partners concerning EDI guidelines and capabilities.
- Creates, develops, and produces maps and mapping documentation.
- Collaborates with trading partners, programmers and internal staff to develop and test new or modified systems.
- Develops and maintains communication links with trading partners and oversees integration of information.
- Periodically reviews system to ensure client needs are met; identifies possible modifications as required.
- Handles operational needs with business users and trading partners as necessary, such as data and communication failures.
- Remains current regarding EDI and internet field technological developments.
- Recommend policy and best practices for use of newly implemented technologies
- Provide Tier-II-IV help desk support for in-house and third-party applications
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of EDI formats and Internet functions.
- Creative problem-solving required to design a system that meets clients individual needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with QAD ERP system
- Some programming/development skills
- Experience with AS2 communication protocol
- Practice and enforce defined development, testing, and change control standards
- Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation
- Physically able to perform the Essential and Additional Duties and Responsibilities of the job including; walking, and sitting, standing, occasionally lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years’ experience with X-12 standards and mapping.
- Ability to communicate on both the technical and non-technical level including end users
- Knowledge and some ability in programming and technologies
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and time effectively
- Good IT working knowledge
- A self-starter who possesses strong customer focus, command skills, agreeable with implementing change and dealing with ambiguity
- Analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
