Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies? The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities in the FBM Information Systems (IS) Applications group to get in on the ground floor of a modernization effort that will shape the future of the organization. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Program (SSP) partners to field several future strategic systems applications that the nation urgently needs.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
This position has multiple responsibilities to stretch across IT disciplines, however the primary focus of the position will be providing successful back office, desktop, laptop, and engineering workstation support; desktop / engineering tools break/fix support, and supporting end user requests within the FBM Program.
The position is responsible for providing back office support to West Coast Infrastructure IT Operations and deskside IT end user support for desktop, laptop, and engineering systems, with responsibilities including:

- Desktop PC, Engineering Workstation, and Laptop Support
- Support of printers and other peripherals
- Networking devices and other infrastructure components
- Stationary communications devices, such as desktop and conferencing phones
- Audio/visual systems, such as projectors and teleconferencing equipment
- Other electronic devices as required.
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- In accordance with DoD 8570, position requires IAT II, CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months of hire
- Proven experience providing Windows Operating System Desktop Support
- Demonstrated ability to support desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Demonstrated experience providing software applications support (Examples: antivirus and encryption software).
- Proven strong collaboration and teaming skills.
- Thorough follow-up and documentation; excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You will need to be a US Citizen (Cannot be a dual citizen), and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Obtaining the Interim DoD security clearance to start is a requirement .
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
- Experience working with Microsoft Windows 10 in a networked environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with Microsoft SCCM
- Troubleshooting computer and printer issues, including verifying network connectivity.
- Experience with supporting tech refresh, imaging, and configuration management
- Experience in computer hardware support including troubleshooting issues and replacement of internal hardware.
- Familiarization with networking and associated equipment.
