Job description

The Business Systems Analyst plays a key role in the support and development of core systems and technical projects as well as communication of business ideas/problems into technical requirements. As part of the IT team, you’ll collaborate with business partners within the organization to understand their needs in addition to defining system requirements, building technical specifications, quality assurance testing and production deployments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support and development of core systems
  • Lead technical projects from the requirements phase through deployment
  • Translation of business ideas/problems to technical solutions and requirements
  • Understand and become an expert in key technical systems that support the organization

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong command of traditional business processes (order to cash, procure to pay, etc.) and how they integrate with technical systems
  • Quality assurance and testing experience
  • Experience with relevant industry tools and technologies (SQL, Azure DevOps, Postman, SOAPUI)
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry tools and techniques to scope, prioritize, organize, test, document and deploy business requirements into technical solutions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to investigate, assess, and recommend solutions to moderately complex business situations

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years as a technical business analyst
  • 2+ years managing/leading complex projects
  • Familiarity with Microsoft products (SQL, .NET/C#, Azure, Azure Dev Ops)

Preferred:

  • 5+ years managing/leading complex projects

Education Required:

  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and four years of related work experience in requirements gathering activities
