ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Survey performance needs and goals of LAN users.
- Develops and monitors appropriate security procedures to safeguard systems from physical harm, viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.
- Helps install and customize LAN instruments to allow personal computers to retrieve and enter information from Servers/Mainframes/SAN (Storage Area Networks).
- Prepare new hardware and software product evaluations for management.
- Develop Server/Mainframe/SAN backup policy and procedures.
- Verifies that backups are completed as outlined in the backup policy, and contains the intended backup information.
- Assist IT Technician(s) to resolve problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Associate’s degree with studies in computer science or management information systems, IT technical degree, or 2+ years of experience in an I.T. environment.
- Subject matter knowledge of Gaming Operations preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly, efficiently, and persuasively
- Inquisitive, self-starter who takes initiative to identify and deliver innovative solutions
- Ability to engage business partners and quickly develop trusting relationships
- Capacity for thought leadership and innovative thinking
- Ability to solve problems, think critically and overcome delivery hurdles
- Good oral and written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job may or may not have supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to obtain (or have) an active for Louisiana Gaming License.
