Responsibilities

Principal Financial Group is seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to join our team! In this role you will handle investment operation administration, research, and resolve daily trading reconciliation, reporting, transaction management, trade support activities financial controls related to mutual funds, employer securities and other non-proprietary fund activities. Coordinate with other areas to ensure investments are built and accurate in our investment database, and data is kept up to date as changes are needed, including verification controls on mailings to customers on regulatory materials.

Success in this position requires a strong client service orientation, the ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven, team-based environment and the ability to produce accurate and timely information with minimal supervision

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; degree in finance, accounting, economics or business preferred.
  • 3+ years of related experience required
  • Knowledge of, or ability to obtain knowledge of, financial services and investment related terminology preferred.
  • Must demonstrate possession of analytical, problem solving, time management and communication skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex, tasks, prioritize effectively and be flexible as business needs change
  • Must have the ability to take initiative, be a self-starter and work independently.
  • SAS/SQL knowledge and experience is preferred.
  • Basic PC and/or system skills required.
