Job Description

The Zen Leaf Dispensary is dedicated to providing exceptional customer experience on every visit. We are currently seeking an Inventory Manager to join our team at our Waldorf, MD Dispensary. The Inventory Manager is responsible for the dispensary's entire inventory and counts all items in stock. They will analyze inventory records, delegate tasks as needed, order supplies, manage the processing of defective items, and devise ways to reduce inaccurate inventory reporting and theft.

As the Inventory Manager, you are required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner:

  • Maintain accurate counts of all cannabis inventory by doing daily counts and performing reconciliations when necessary
  • Ensure that all product received is properly tagged according to state and local regulations and is accompanied by all necessary paperwork
  • Reconcile inventory with METRC and POS system to ensure that all information is accurately porting to the state system and no malfunctions of the POS and scales are occurring
  • Keep a clean and well-organized vault area that allows for unencumbered access to product, sinks, cleaning areas, and inventory desk.
  • Maintain all delivery records and invoices according to the methods prescribed by the General Manager
  • Assist General Manager or Area Director with quarterly and third-party audits when applicable
  • Provide any reports requested by the General Manager
  • This position reports directly to the General Manager and Area Director and/or VP of Retail

Requirements

  • At least 1 year(s) of prior management experience dealing directly with store inventory
  • High school degree or general education degree (GED) is required for all positions
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to pass a state and federal criminal background check
  • Flexibility to accommodate scheduling demands including some weekends, regularly scheduled shifts, and applicable holidays.
  • Demonstrated passion to serving the adult cannabis community preferred
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry preferred

Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 20 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
