Inventory Control Specialist

This position will be responsible for several tasks in our warehouse including moving and staging raw ingredients, inventory tracking, receiving, organizing, and assisting in shipping products. Inventory Control Specialists are very organized and will also help with evaluating the current practices of the company and suggest new ways to improve efficiency. The essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary based on client requirements and business needs. Schedules fluctuate based on client requirements and business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.

• Perform inventory cycle counts as needed and assist with the execution of periodic physical inventories

• Accurately review, enter, and report all inventory counts in the system; Conduct research on any discrepancies and report out to the manager

• Assist outside storage facilities with inventory counts, reporting, and data collection

• Following an inventory management process for optimized inventory

• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time in an efficient and timely manner

• Provides inventory reports to Supply Chain and Warehouse Manager when needed

• Maintain warehouse locations and ensure a clean and organized facility

• Understand the personal responsibility to follow all safety policies and health rules, programs, and procedures. Always report safety issues, incidents and accidents immediately

• Performs other related duties as requested
• Be flexible, and have a go with the flow attitude as needs and challenges arise
• Other duties as assigned

General Requirements

• Must have a current fork lift certification

• Strong analytical skills

• High attention to detail and must be organized.

• Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills

• Must have strong math skills

• Computer skills. Understand and use MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

• Exhibits ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma required

• Minimum of 3 years inventory experience in a manufacturing plant preferred. Baked goods experience also preferred, but not required.

• Previous experience with SQF Level II facility or above preferred.
